NEW ARRIVALS!!! Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist without the Glimmer in Scrap-n-Crop.com

We've long associated Glimmer Mist with well, glimmer ... but now, Tattered Angels have release a whole new interesting range of Glimmer Mist withOUT the Glimmer and have appropriately named it Plain Jane - Simply Sheer.

But why would you want Glimmer Mist withOUT the Glimmer?
Well, for those with boys and men to scrapbook, ah huh, sometimes all the glam and glimmer is a bit too much! So, Tattered Angles have spin-off this range without the glittery bits.
.

Plain Jane - Simply Sheer has the quick and easy spray that delivers a fine mist of color to make all of your projects come alive with color. The exact same formula and Glimmer Mist, they mix and match perfectly and the same techniques apply.

For a light, all over misted application, hold Plain Jane - Simply Sheer away from your project and spray, “committing to the mist.” For more coverage, hold Plain Jane - Simply Sheer closer to your project while spraying, moving very little until you get the coverage you are looking for.

TIPS & TECHNIQUES from Tattered Angels
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Simply Sheer is “simply” Glimmer Mist without the glimmer and is designed to give you a translucent paint effect. The more coverage you give the more depth of color you will get.  Before you spray you will want to practice the shaking technique to blend the variety of colors that create each Simply Sheet color.  For a light, evenly misted look hold the Simply Sheer bottle away from your project, and spray, such as you would when applying hairspray. For a thicker, raindrop application hold the Simply Sheet bottle closer to your project while spraying.  To achieve an even smooth finish, add Simply Sheer to paper surface. Apply a paper towel evenly over sprayed surface and remove extra Glimmer Mist by lightly rolling a brayer over the paper towel.  For a pooling effect, which gives intense color, spray Simply Sheer very closely and directly on your project.  You can let Simply Sheer air dry or use a heating tool to speed up the drying process.  Please note that while Simply Sheer is attractive when just using one color, layering multiple colors or by blending with Glimmer Mist also adds a beautiful richness to your projects.  Simply Sheer is perfect on fabric, but is water based and is not designed for apparel projects that will be washed.  When spraying on paper, it may curl, secure down with heavy objects to allow the finished project to dry flat. For more helpful ideas and tips, please refer to our blogs: INSPIRATION BLOG or TIPS & TECHNIQUES BLOG -

Spray onto unfinished wood – soaks in to the wood instantly, try mixing colors to create a wide range of faux finish looks.  Apply to chipboard or other thick papers – they handle the water base paint amazingly well allowing you to try a wide range of Glimmer Mist painting techniques.  Apply mist to papers with dark ink prints or resist to create one of kind papers  Spray onto Styrofoam plate and dip rubber stamp onto paint to create a glimmer ink and apply to your craft projects  Place a mask onto any medium and spray, the masked area will remain the original medium and the rest will be misted  Spray generously on light weight paper and crumple to get a fun texture.  Spray on a slick surface such as acrylic, metal or glass – for best results allow to dry or set with a heat gun.  Mist generously onto slick surface and allow to air dry creating a dotted rain affect.  Spray onto any printed sticker or chipboard sticker to add your own touch of glimmer.
